We believe in making gifting special at uni-ball UK HQ. And we also believe in making life simple for our customers with easy solutions that can be mastered quickly.
This simple festive illustration is so easy to recreate in a few simple steps and we’ll talk you through how. Once you’ve just the bug you’ll be drawing snowflakes on all your Christmas makes.
You will need
We got some plain round gift tags from Cass Art. And we used a starter pack of POSCA 1MR paint markers to create our tags. We like the selection of colours and think it would be a great idea to whip up a whole collection of snowflake themed tags for your Christmas presents.
Slim and smooth, the PC-1MR’s 0.7mm fibre tip is for people who love precision and neatness, so it is brilliant for this kind of illustration. Its ultra-fine tip is perfect for defined outlines, delicate detail and neat handwriting. Plus, as the tip is protected by metal, it works really well with stencils.
Draw your snowflake
To create your snowflake simply follow our step by step illustration guide. First make a large cross. Then draw diagonal intersecting lines across the middle as shown.
Next you should draw three sets of figure 8s along the ends of the large cross as seen above. Then draw tiny hearts along the intersecting lines and fill in with your pen.
Finish by making lines out of the centre add some interest in the middle of your shape. Then make the most of the fine POSCA 1MR line, by making little dots out of the central intersection and around the middle.
We would suggest you get a co-ordinating ribbon for your tag, to make your gift, and your simple but highly effective illustration, really sing!
