Excited about Christmas but not sure what theme give your Christmas decs and table? Well look no further… This is the first of two posts showing you a range of our favourite festive looks for Christmas 2018. We’ve got three fab themes here plus some ideas of how you can add a personal touch with uni-ball pens.
AN ILLUSTRATED XMAS
Cute illustrated character motifs are in abundance this year. They add an artful, playful touch to your yuletide celebration. You can go full-on by getting charming containers, cosies and cups for a woodland look like the ones above from George Home.
For a more restrained take on this theme, you can opt for simple fir-tree illustrated crockery with a whimsical touch like this beautiful set from Marks & Spencer. Or go for fun Christmas kitsch with this lovely Santa plate from Sainsbury’s.
If you’re feeling Christmas crafty why not get your POSCA paint pens out and have a go at drawing festive characters on wooden utensils? Simply draw out in pencil first and fill in with your favourite POSCA paint markers.
BRIGHT METALLICS
If you’re after something fun but a little more grown up, plump for brightly coloured baubles and wrap in metallic shades. Embrace the jewel theme and dress your tree with a mix of vibrant metallic hues like these beauties from Paperchase above.
If you love these jewel shades but are not sure about going all out bling then can go subtle. Introduce pops of jewel colour by using emerald green shiny baubles with frosted trees. Or brighten up your gifting with shades of metallic greens and golds as seen here from John Lewis.
